Official Style Guide 2024: What to Wear to Hampton Court Flower Show, F1 and Henley Royal Regatta This Weekend

What to Wear to a Flower Show | Hancocks Jewellers

As we begin to approach our first weekend of July 2024, the question of what to wear for the upcoming events becomes increasingly pressing. Whether your weekend plans are to visit a splendor of gorgeous floral displays, relish in the likes of the Grand Prix, or enjoy one of the most prestigious rowing events in British history, there is no doubt the 2024 English summer season is in full swing, and you need an outfit to match the occasion.

As the sun starts to shine that little bit brighter, we can all agree that whatever event you’re dressing up for, you’re dressing to impress. In this style guide, we have created three looks which encompass these occasions to the max, paired with a piece of must-have jewellery, completing the look and beaming rays of style.

What to wear to Hampton Court Flower Show

It may be an unspoken rule to some, but wearing a floral dress to a flower show is pivotal in matching the beauty of these floral exhibitions on display and marries the occasion without fault. As we head into Summer 2024, crochet bags are hitting the streets again alongside a classic, espadrilles. An example of an outfit may be pairing the Reiss Melody Floral Print Side Split Midi Dress with the Mango Natural Fibre Shoulder Bag and Dune Braided Cross Strap Wedge Sandals, where the woven looks from the bag and shoes compliment each other, and encapsulate a chic look for the beginning of a warm season, whilst also radiating summer energy. Below is an example:

To complete this look, we’ve coupled these items with two elegant dress pieces in morganite to match the subtle red hues cascading through the maxi dress. These peachy pink tones harmonize with the colours in the dress, to create a minimalistic, yet chic look for your day. Below, we have the White Gold Morganite and Diamond Pendant, an 18 carat, square cut beauty. Beside it is the Morganite and Diamond Oval Cluster Ring, fulfilling the more subtle tones of this outfit.

What to wear to the F1- British Grand Prix at Silverstone

Whether you’re travelling down to the Silverstone circuit to celebrate the successes of motorsport, or you’re just planning on enjoying the likes of Kings of Leon and Stormzy, this year’s British Grand Prix is said to be an ‘unforgettable experience’. For this look, we went with wide-leg leather trousers, an example being from Massimo Dutti. These are worthy of channeling a sophisticated, yet chic look to show off your style. You could pair this by tucking in any classic white blouse, however we’ve chosen the: ‘Oversized Linen Gauze Shirt’ from The White Company. This look could be accessorized with the: ‘White Amaalia Wedge Leather Sandals’ from Ted Baker, and a bestseller from Coach: the ‘Coach Teri Shoulder Bag’. You may want to drape over this look a tan trench coat, if the weather isn’t looking its best, however the low heel on the wedges should make them suitable for completing a stylish outfit, whilst also being comfortable to walk around the tracks in. An example of the outfit is shown below:

To glam up this look that little bit more, we have chosen three pieces from our diamond collection, spicing up the more monotone feels of this outfit, because as we all know, diamonds are a girl’s best friend! Shown on the left are our Triple Pear Shaped Diamond Drop Earrings, which could be matched with our Pear Cut Diamond Cluster Necklace.  And, if you want to follow with the diamond theme and steal the show even more, you could pair these two pieces with a simpler bangle, which still has the diamond detailing on top: White Gold Bangle with Diamond Cluster Motif.

What to wear to Henley Royal Regatta

Lucky for us women, there isn’t necessarily a ‘strict’ dress code for the Royal Regatta, meaning we can be creative in the outfits which we wear. Whether you’re a trouser suit person or a dress person, you’ll have no problem fitting in at this event, where the atmosphere is said to be ‘relaxed and informal’. After looking into outfits from past years, the ‘traditional’ look is a simple flowy dress, and a piece of headwear seems to be common, whether it’s a hat or a headband. Many also decide to wear a chic trouser suit or pair a maxi skirt with a lightweight jumper or blouse. Jewellery wise, many visitors opt to wear an elegant, yet more minimalistic piece from their collection. From our pieces, we have chosen the Yellow Gold Pearl and Diamond Earrings, a staple piece for your collection, and we have matched this with its partner Yellow Gold Pearl and Diamond Pendant. To top this off, we have paired this with our Yellow Gold Brilliant Cut Diamond Bracelet; a tennis bracelet to bring attention to the commencing of Wimbledon.

So, whatever inspiration you decide to take from our style guide, ensure you pair it with a dazzling piece of jewellery from our collection to make your day that little bit brighter.
