D – F are colourless and G are near colourless(rare white). The clarity scale determines the inclusions in the stones. The scale spans from IF(internally flawless) which are free from internal inclusions to those which have inclusions visible to the naked eye( eye visible inclusions)

HANCOCKS' clarity rating encompasses IF(internally flawless) VVS1 and VVS2(very, very slightly included) and VS1(very slightly included)

The standards of excellence adhered to by HANCOCKS ensure that the finest quality stones are set into their exquisite pieces.

Yellow diamonds

Yellow diamonds have entranced stylish jewellery wearers over the decades and became the favourite jewel of the legendary style icon the Duchess of Windsor.

HANCOCKS have created the most important collection of fine yellow diamonds in the North West.

The yellow colour is a natural phenomenon, created when the stone was formed. Yellow diamonds known as 'Fancies' occur in a range of shades. HANCOCKS have acquired the most desirable and rarest shades Fancy vivid and Fancy intense - stones of radiating deep yellow and golden tones.

HANCOCKS have created a collection of yellow diamond pendants, earrings, bangle and rings that will become heirlooms of the future.

Diamond certificates

All HANCOCKS certified diamonds come with a GIA (Gemological Institute of America) or HRD (the Diamond High Council – Hoge Raad voor Diamant) certificate.
